5-40 threads — the small pattern Tipton uses on their .17
and .20 caliber rods. Confirmed it takes .17 and .20 jags.
Note this is NOT the common 8-32 thread, so check your jags
and brushes before you buy.

If you shoot .17 HMR, .17 WSM, .204 Ruger, or a small-bore
air rifle, this is the rod you actually want. A fat .22+
rod flopping around inside a .17 bore doesn't clean well
and risks contact with the rifling. This one is sized for it.

Carbon fiber shaft. Won't scratch a bore like stainless,
and won't embed grit the way a coated rod does — a coated
rod that's picked up abrasive particles is basically fine
sandpaper running down your barrel. Carbon fiber flexes
hard and springs back straight.

Handle spins on two sets of ball bearings, so the rod
follows the rifling both pushing and pulling, even under
pressure.

Shank-through construction lets you tap the end to work a
tight patch through a fouled bore without wrecking the
handle.
