ABOUT THE HV SPRING — this matters if you plan to run a suppressor
or high-velocity ammo. It is SIG's factory high-velocity recoil
spring, red-marked, designed to slow slide velocity so the magazine
can feed. Owners running cans and hot ammo report it clears up
last-round misfeeds and double-feed stoppages that the standard
spring won't. Sells for roughly $25-30 when you can find one in
stock, and most buyers don't learn it exists until they've fought
the problem for a few hundred rounds. It's still sealed — install it
if you need it, keep the standard spring in the gun if you don't.
