Full Description
Ruger Standard Model .22 LR semi-automatic pistol, manufactured 1980.
This is the original Standard Model — the pre-Mark II design, roll
marked "RUGER .22 CAL LONG RIFLE AUTOMATIC PISTOL" on the receiver.
Serial number confirms 1980 production against Ruger's factory
records. The Standard was the first firearm Sturm, Ruger ever built
and the design that founded the company in 1949; production ended in
1982 when the Mark II superseded it.
FUNCTION: Operates perfectly. Cycles, feeds, ejects, and locks up
exactly as it should. Trigger is crisp, safety functions correctly,
bore is bright and shiny / good with strong
rifling. This is a shooter that has been maintained, not a wall
hanger and not a project.
CONDITION: Bluing on the barrel and receiver remains deep and strong
with excellent gloss. Grip frame shows honest handling wear with
light silvering along the high edges and contact points, typical and
expected for a 45-year-old Ruger. No rust, no pitting, no
dings, no cracks. Black checkered grip panels with silver eagle
medallions are in excellent shape with sharp, unworn checkering.
Photos are of the actual pistol and show the finish accurately.
