This is a Remington Model 1100 12 gauge, semi-auto shotgun. It is an older Remington made back when Remington was still a quality brand. It is chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells and the barrel is 24 inches with a fixed, improved cylinder bore. 

This gun would be great for bear protection on a boat, at a remote cabin, or in a truck. Perfect for grouse and ptarmigan hunting too. 

It is in perfect working condition and has some handling marks and light surface rust typical of older guns that have been in the field.
