I have for sale a JC Higgins Model 583.17 12ga bolt action shotgun. I bought it more as a novelty item and didn't plan to shoot it. I decided I don't need it in my collection. It's old, 1949 or 1950, and there is some controversy surrounding this model. I learned of a recall by Sears way back, which is why a decided not to shoot it. There are mixed reviews on this subject.
