Full Description
Ferdinand Hanquet of Liege (1872-1920)
Belgian (“Acier Cockerill” - Steel by Cockerill)
16ga black powder, double barreled shotgun
29.5” barrel
M. Eriksson Borlänge is engraved on the barrel
This antique shotgun is beautifully engraved and has a gorgeous patina. It features a painting of bird dogs on the right side of stock. Minimal pitting in the barrels, overall very nice condition and an all-around gorgeous firearm.
In the images, I have included a list of some of the hallmarks stamped into the barrel, along with their meaning.
Note: It hasn’t been fired in a long time, so have it inspected by a reputable firearms restorer before use.
