Full Description
The SIG Sauer MCX Rattler Canebrake is a factory-built, suppressor- ready 300 Blackout Personal defense weapon (PDW) Designed specifically to run optimally with a silencer no adjustments or modifications needed.
Core Technical Specifications
- Barrel Length: 5.5 inches
- Twist Rate: 1:5, optimized for stabilizing heavy subsonic rounds in extremely short barrels.
- Operating System: Short-stroke gas piston system with a two-position adjustable gas block.
- Overall Length: 29.5 inches (extended with standard configurations).
- Weight: 6.0 to 6.4 lbs (unloaded without accessories).
- Finish: Cerakote E190 (Coyote/Desert Tan) upper and lower receivers. [
Key Design Features
- SD Handguard & Inert Training Device: The Canebrake ships with an oversized M-LOK SD (Suppressor Diameter) handguard and a factory-installed faux suppressor. This device mimics the size and weight of a SIG SRD762 suppressor so muzzle blast clears your support hand until a real silencer is installed.
- Internal Suppressor Shrouding: The wide inner diameter of the handguard allows a silencer (up to roughly 1.7 inches in diameter) to sit tucked underneath it. This configuration allows for a longer, more comfortable support-hand grip on a very compact weapon system.
- No Receiver Extension: Because the dual recoil springs are contained entirely inside the upper receiver, it does not require an AR-15 style buffer tube. This allows the rear 1913 Picatinny rail interface to host side-folding stocks or braces, creating an ultra-discreet package for vehicle or backpack deployment.
- Upgraded Controls & Trigger: It features an ambidextrous charging handle and safety selectors, paired with a 2-stage flat-blade match trigger.
