This week, I made a lot of updates to the website as general interface updates and also additions that multiple users were asking for. The following is a list of the changes and additions already made and also a list of plans to implement in the very near future...
Completed Updates And Additions:
- Removed login form from the left column of the site. Users can login by just clicking "My Account" from the top menu
- Fixed bug where the left search column and categories list were not showing while browsing certain categories
- Created this blog where users can stay updated of website progress and plans
- Created a "Featured Ads" module at the top of each category when browsing
- Modified the descriptions of the paid "Promotions" offered when posting a new item to clear up any confusions
- Modified the pricing of those paid promotions
- Added social media sharing buttons to all blog/news articles
- Added a commenting function to all blog/news articles (must be logged in to comment)
- Added a commenting function to all ads (must be logged in to comment)
- Changed the "NEW" designation that shows on new ads to "NEW AD" to prevent any confusion on whether that is designating a new item or a new ad
- Added multiple entries to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section
- Added new ad categories: Archery / Blades / Barter / NFA / Holsters / LTB / Furniture / Prepping
- Added new post types: For Sale Or Trade / Looking To Buy
Plans For Near Future Fixes And Additions:
- Fixing a bug where uploading JPEG images from an apple device gives an error. This is top priority.
- Add more FAQ's regarding: Promotions / Business Postings / Ad Management
- Determine pricing structure for banner local business advertising
